As many of our pieces are personalised to order, please allow up to 7 business days for your order to be prepared and dispatched from our Melbourne studio.

If you haven't received a shipping notification after 7 business days, please get in touch and we'll be happy to provide an update.

We dispatch ready-to-ship items within 1–3 business days from our Melbourne studio.

Personalised and engraved pieces are thoughtfully handcrafted to order. We do our best to complete these within 48 hours; however, during busy periods, please allow up to 7 business days for dispatch.

Once your order is on its way, delivery typically takes 2–5 business days for metro areas and 5–10 business days for regional areas via Australia Post.

Yes! Leave a note at checkout with your personalised message and we'll wrap your order in our eco-friendly honeycomb kraft wrap, ready for giving.

Our jewellery pieces are crafted from premium gold-plated materials designed for everyday wear. To keep them looking their best, avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfumes, lotions and harsh chemicals. Store your pieces in a dry place when not in use and gently polish with a soft cloth if required.

With proper care, your Mad & Darling pieces will develop a story of their own and be enjoyed for years to come.

Measure around the base of your dog's neck with a soft tape measure and apply the two-finger rule — you should be able to slip two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck. Brass is durable, naturally corrosion-resistant, and engraves beautifully — every letter comes out crisp and legible. We're a little obsessed with brass, and honestly, once you know why, you will be too. Brass is incredibly durable and naturally corrosion-resistant, so it laughs in the face of puddles, beach trips, and all the muddy mayhem your pup can throw at it. It engraves beautifully too — every letter comes out crisp, clean, and perfectly legible, so your dog's name stays looking sharp for years and years. It's also completely non-toxic and pet-safe, because your fur baby deserves nothing but the best. And just like our leather, brass gets more gorgeous with age, developing a warm golden patina that makes every tag totally unique.

Our hardware is selected for durability and longevity, with materials varying by style.

Brass hardware (Signature collars and leads, wristlets, key rings and dog tags) develops a warm patina over time. Buff gently with a dry cloth to keep it bright, or leave it to age beautifully.

Stainless steel & alloy hardware (Darling Collar, artist collars and leads) is corrosion-resistant and low maintenance. Wipe down with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly after wet adventures.

Avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater, chlorine, or harsh chemicals for all styles.

Condition your leather pieces regularly to keep them supple and looking their best. Avoid prolonged exposure to water where possible, and spot clean with a damp cloth if needed.

Natural leather develops a patina over time — a rich, warm depth of colour that comes from everyday wear. It's one of the things that makes each piece truly unique.

We use 20mm natural vegetable-tanned leather, cut from double shoulders for strength and structure.

Vegetable-tanned leather is made to age. With wear, it softens, deepens in colour, and develops a patina that's entirely its own.

Each artist collaboration piece is individually hand-painted by our featured artist using the finest leather paint — making every piece completely unique.

Care for them the same way as your other leather pieces and they'll stay beautiful for years to come.

Personalised pieces are laser engraved to order. All engraving is done in-house using a professional diode laser engraver, for clean, precise results. Each product page shows the available engraving fields and character limits before you add to cart. Please check all spelling, numbers, and dates carefully before ordering.

The Darling Keyring — name, date, initials, or short word. Limit: 10 characters.

The Darling Tag — front and reverse engraving. Front: name or short word, up to 10 characters. Reverse: phone number or short detail, up to 12 characters.

The Wristlet — name, date, initials, or short word, laser engraved directly onto the leather. Limit: 12 characters.

The Signature Collar — includes The Darling Tag. Front: name or short word, up to 10 characters. Reverse: phone number or short detail, up to 12 characters.

The Signature Lead — minimal signature engraved directly onto the leather handle. Limit: 5 characters.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We get started on orders quickly, and cannot guarantee changes once engraving has begun.

Personalised pieces are made to order. Please allow up to 7 business days before dispatch — we do our best to turn orders around much sooner, but during peak times items may take the full 7 days.

Custom and engraved items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, unless your item arrives faulty or defective.

Non-custom items may be exchanged within 14 days of receiving your order, provided they are unworn, unused, and in original packaging. Proof of purchase is required. We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

Customers are responsible for return postage costs. We recommend using a tracked service as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
